In 2012 our executive director, Ken Maxwell, met Gia Tutalo-Mote from the Forever Family organization in Florida. At that moment a tremendous partnership was formed. Gia, an Emmy award-winning television producer/reporter, founded the Forever Family organization in 2002 as a small grass-roots initiative on Miami’s WTVJ-NBC 6. Since then Gia has grown the organization into a multi-station initiative with appearances on multiple NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX affiliates in Florida.

Sponsored by Seven Homes, and the Project 77 campaign, the North Carolina Forever Family Program produces news stories and on-air video promotions which highlight children in foster care who are searching for adoptive families. The stories are then aired on major broadcast television stations and are, hopefully, viewed by the perfect families for the children highlighted in the videos. Forever Family was named after the goal of matching foster children with stable, loving families.

Are you a Social Worker or Child Advocate?

Forever Family is a free service for children in North Carolina who are clear for adoption. Forever Family holds four video shoots each year. In an effort to help reduce time and cost associated with transporting, Forever Family tries to hold video shoots in different parts of the State, and we will provide lunch and snacks for the children and staff attending the shoots.

If you are interested in having a child featured on our next Forever Family filming, please take a moment to fill out our contact form so that our NC Forever Family Coordinator can follow up with you.
